For upgrades it is only allowed to use the official authorized software. You can get this firmware at authorized service centres or on the manufacturers' Internet sites (e.g. Grundig). Any other firmware obtained from unofficial sources or unprofessional installation may cause malfunction or defects or put the product totally out of operation. Any such unauthorized intervention cancels any claim to a guarantee and the manufacturer or seller shall not assume any liability for such defects. Costs of any repair in such a case shall be charged to the customer even if the defect occurs during the guarantee period.

A claim to a cost-free update of firmware arises only in the case that the new version removes certain bugs and if at the same time all guarantee terms are met. Otherwise the firmware update is a service against payment.

The firmware is protected by copyright and is solely intended for upgrading of relevant products.
